Choose who hosts the file. The QR code links to the document; it does not store a copy inside the pattern.
01
Use a public PDF URL
Host the document on your own website or file service and paste its address above. Test it in a private browser window to make sure customers can access it.
You control the file’s availability. Replacing the contents at the same URL can keep a static code useful; changing the URL needs a dynamic code or a new print.
02
Upload to Scanvoya
Sign in, choose “Upload and share a file” in the editor, and select your PDF. The public file URL is filled in for you.
Save the QR code within 24 hours to keep the upload attached to your workspace. Only upload a document you are allowed to share publicly.

READY FOR A REAL PHONE
Check the document as well as the code.
A readable QR image is only half the experience. The file needs to open and read well, too.
Prepare your PDF
Use readable text, compress large images and give the document a clear title. Avoid distributing confidential information through a public file link.
Create and save
Paste the URL or upload after signing in. Choose dynamic mode for future URL changes, customize the pattern and save it. Download from QR codes.
Try the whole journey
Scan a printed sample, open the PDF over mobile data and check its text at phone size. Repeat the check after replacing the document.
No. The QR code contains a link. A phone opens that link to retrieve the document, so the reader needs internet access and the PDF must remain available. The PDF file size does not become part of the QR pattern.
Do I have to upload my PDF to Scanvoya?
No. You can use a public PDF URL from your own website or another host. Test the link in a private browser window first: a link that works only while you are signed in will not work for every customer. Sign in to Scanvoya if you prefer to upload a file here.
Can I replace the PDF without reprinting?
With a dynamic code, upload the new PDF or paste its new URL in the saved code’s editor, then save. The printed code keeps the same short link. A static code only follows its original URL, so a new file URL requires a new code unless your file host lets you replace the document at the same address.
Who can open an uploaded file?
Anyone who has its public file link. A password on the dynamic QR entry protects that entry, but it does not encrypt the PDF or protect a file link someone has already copied. Use a document service with its own access controls for confidential material.
When are uploaded files removed?
An upload that is not attached to a saved item is eligible for cleanup after 24 hours. Saving the code keeps its linked file. When you replace or delete a code, cleanup also depends on other saved references and the file-retention choice shown in the workspace. Do not delete a file that a printed static code still uses.
